Synopsis Lin Wei-yang is an idealistic but lonely rebel. Song Si-Lang tries to avoid being drafted by losing weight and failing the physical. Synopsis During the time of war , the U.S. military sent their senior officers to Hualian for R & R. Three Hualian brothel bosses decide to make some money by opening a bar. They even hire teachers to teach the bar girls to speak English and pick a dozen or so prostitutes to go to work, including one of the bossed ‘ mistress, A-fen. The teacher starts to teach the girls English, how to mix drinks, even how to use protection as to avoid VD from the soldiers. After their training, with everyone dressed up and waiting for the arrival of the U.S. soldiers, a telegram instructing the soldiers to be sent to Kaohsiung instead.
Synopsis Lin Ting-pang, Chin Cheng-kuo, Shi Chuan and Luo Chih-cheng join the police academy and become good friends. After graduation, Lin and Chin become police detectives, while Shi and Luo get sent to traffic duty. When a family is found murdered, Lin and Chin find clues leading them to a gangster. In a confrontation, Lin kills the gangster, but later discovers the gangster’s gun had no bullets. Lin is forced to turn in his gun pending further investigation. One day, Lin runs into Shi and Luo and as he leaves, hears gunfire. He turns and sees his friends being shot. Lin watches helplessly as his friends die at the hands of a gangster’s gun. Lin becomes determined to find the gangsters responsible for his friends’ death. In doing so, he can bring the killers to justice and at the same time, regain his honor as a policeman.
Synopsis A cynical young drifter, Liu, works in a restaurant but mostly plays billiards to make money. He meets Hsiao Yeh, who lives alone in Taipei and they hit it off. Young Liu asks Hsiao Yeh to live with him but doesn’t take her seriously, even though Hsiao Yeh has fallen in love with him. Young Liu slacks off at work, plays pool all the time and gets schooled by a pool shark. He loses a lot of money. In trying to get it back, he falls harder. To try to save them, Hsiao Yeh becomes a prostitute to raise money but she learns the hard way that Liu is an old dog that cannot learn any new tricks and that, through their hardships , tragedy eventually awaits them.
Synopsis Basketball fan Yu Bing falls for the school’s basketball star Li Wei. He is embarrassed by Li Wei’s friend at a dance, in danger, writes an article, attacking Li Wei for her lack of team spirit. When Li Wei finds out, she calls him out to explain. A relationship between them ensues but after a while, Li Wei starts to focus on her own future and stops seeing him. Meanwhile Su Li, a girl with a Crush on Yu Bing, tries to get close to him. Because of the fight, A-Hsin descends into a life of crime. The two once-innocent youths face the hardships of life in the city streets.
Synopsis In 1975, when Vietnam fell into the hands of North Vietnam, one platoon tenaciously fought the North Vietnamese to the bitter end: the Leopard Squadron. Synopsis Villager A-Hao with simple, near-deaf husband Wan-Fa, lives a poor but simple rural life together with their young son, A-Gou.
