Synopsis
Grandma called him Ah-ha-gu. She believed that he was destined to become a big official, so she was always especially good to him.
Ah-ha had an elder brother who weighed 39 kilos and didn’t have to do military service. He also had a younger brother who held a raw egg in his palm while he practiced calligraphy, another younger brother, and a smart, pretty elder sister.
Yet he never seemed to understand matters of life and death. To him, the consequences of the August 23 War with Communist China were that he no longer had any apples to eat. His days passed by helping the puny red ants defeat menacing black ants, and then aiding them in moving bread arumbs into their hole.
During his high school years, his sister got married. He got involved with gangs, and always fighting. One night, just as he was sharpening his knife in preparation for a big fight, his mother died.

Synopsis
Washington D.C., USA – Herman Melville Energy Research Foundation, A senior researcher Dr. Chang Peng-Fei, an overseas Chinese, is explaining to all members the composicion of chemical molecule of super-Uranium and its purpose, which arouse all at tendants’ greatest interest and expectation. Since such Super-Uranium is the new direction for all energy scientists in the whole world. Theoretically, the great invention is extremely perfect. The research group has achieved 90% success in the Lab.
Almost every reporter in Tokyo is present in Haneta Airport. They are all awaiting anxiously in the Exit Lobby. At last, Dr. Chang appeared under the protection of guards. In the VIP Room, Dr. Chang briefly introduces his invention. Every representative of Japanese scientific world is breathlessly gazing at the process of the formula “C31 O12 N – 1H316 S2K14S1 “. When appeared Ni Tung-Tien, every OPA member really feels trembling with fear by Ni’s cold and cruel character. They all agree to pay Ni a great deal of money to execute the assassination at Dr. Chang’s next stop – Taipei Super-Uranium Announcement. But when killer Ni walks out of the Conference Room with a suitcase of weapon, everyone finds that he and his followers are not as brave as their performance in the film.
Ni Tung-Tien and his two followers check in the Hotel of Angles at suburban Taipei under the cover of OPA members. They receive the warmest reception of the Manageress Lee Li-Li, Other members of the Hotel are disgusted at the Manageress’ extremely different treatment to VIPs and staffs.
Ni Tung-Tien and his followers begin their Sand Table Esercise. According to their investigations to every available corner of the Hotel, the agenda of the announcement and the schedule of Dr. Chang, they design a lot of assassination plans……Then, the dumb killer and the silly lucky star start to chase around and turn the whole Hotel upside down.

The film describes an obstinate and proud woman’s hard and charming life from her 28th year until she dies of disease at fifty four.The story begins in Taiwan in 1959, and lonely Kwei Mei comes to Taiwan alone, living temporarily with the family of her elder cousin. Every day she washes children’s clothes, prepares breakfast, lunch, and supper without rest. By deep night, she sleeps on the big bed of the whole family in a room, and hears her cousin and husband on the other side of the hanging separating sheet talking intimately. All The King's Men

Synopsis
Shih-chung, King of the Posterior Chou Dynasty in the 1st century, suffers from epilepsy and becomes addicted to the medicine prescribed by Occultist Lee, who is conspiring to usurp the throne. That Day,On The Beach

Synopsis
Lin Chia-li, daughter of the doctor in the village, grew up under strict discipline and tight protection from her childhood. The first shock in her, life was to have seen her affectionate brother, Lin Chia-sen, becoming discouraged because of an unexpected obstruction to his interests and love.
When she had graduated from college, her father was still arbitrarily making arrangements for her marriage. Thinking of her brother’s experience, she firmly made the most important choice in her life : She opposed her father’s arrangements, leaving home and soon, married Cheng Te-wei, a boy she knew in her college days, before the justice of the peace.
This independent choice, filled with her self-confidence, was much admitted by Ching-ching, the girl friend of her brother in the past, when it was spoken of , several years later. Because, since she was separated from Chia-sen, she had ever been in full hopelessness, and now, though was a famous musician, she was still depressed in the deep part of her heart.
Nevertheless, things did not turn out as Ching-ching imagined. The marriage of Chia-li and Te-wei had had, gradually, a considerable chasm after Te-wei achieved success in his career; but Chia-li never dared to face the basic problem.
Until one day, at a certain beach occurred a murder, Relies revealed that the dead, probably, was Cheng Te-wei. Therefore, Chia-li was called to the beach by the police.
And on the day at the beach, on which the corpse was been searching for. Chia-li looked back for the first time to her environment, her personality and her marriage. Analyzed them by herself. And by the narration of A-tsai, a bosom friend of Te-wei, she found sadly, that in fact, her marriage had already been framed up on an emptiness. That, the dead was Te-wei or not. In truth, had had no meaning to the whole marriage.
However, these things have passed for several years. Chia-li, whom Ching-ching is seeing now, is an independent women, filled with courage for survival. Therefore, Ching-ching realized that, it seemed no more important to find out whether the dead at the beach was Te-wei or not. And Chia-sen, her affectionate lover, who impacted on her during her lifetime, as Chia-li said. died of illness two years ago. The things seemed gone away with the beaitless time……
