- Synopsis During the time of war , the U.S. military sent their senior officers to Hualian for R & R. Three Hualian brothel bosses decide to make some money by opening a bar. They even hire teachers to teach the bar girls to speak English and pick a dozen or so prostitutes to go to work, including one of the bossed ‘ mistress, A-fen. The teacher starts to teach the girls English, how to mix drinks, even how to use protection as to avoid VD from the soldiers. After their training, with everyone dressed up and waiting for the arrival of the U.S. soldiers, a telegram instructing the soldiers to be sent to Kaohsiung instead.
